The month of October is LGBTQIA+ History Month. This month is dedicated to honoring the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons throughout history. During the early years, the celebration was largely marked by a call to action and commemoration.

About Tallahassee PRIDEFEST

Tallahassee PRIDEFEST is organized by the Pride and Visibility Committee of The Family Tree Community Center.

The mission of The Family Tree is to provide services which promote the well-being of LGBT individuals, to work to eliminate the conditions in society which allow homophobia to exist and to be a place where everyone is welcome.

The Family Tree is a non-profit organization driven by volunteers and a board of directors representing the needs of the local LGBT community.
